About us

The team at ruislip stars nurseries

Our team is made up of welcoming, vibrant individuals who bring energy, care, and genuine passion to every part of nursery life. Many of us are mothers ourselves, giving us a deep understanding of what children — and parents — need to feel safe, supported, and celebrated.

Our team includes a blend of experienced practitioners, qualified early years staff, and naturally gifted caregivers who share the same commitment: creating a warm, nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow with confidence.

We value kindness, creativity, and connection, and we work together to make every day feel positive and purposeful. Whether we’re planning exciting activities, supporting early development, or simply offering a reassuring smile at drop‑off, our team is here to make families feel welcome from the moment they arrive.

Community

At Ruislip Stars Nurseries, we believe in the power of community — and we love giving back whenever we can. Our children are always eager to join in, taking part in fundraisers, awareness events, and local activities that help make a real difference. They enjoy supporting charities and community causes just as much as they enjoy joining in simply for fun.

Over the years, the children have taken part in a variety of meaningful and joyful experiences, including:

  • Singing Christmas songs in ASDA to spread festive cheer

  • Visiting community members at a local church to build connections

  • Helping raise money for a charity supporting a young girl in need of a wheelchair

  • Hosting our Summer Fair where families, staff and children came together to raise money for Tommy’s, helping support research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth

These moments help our children learn about kindness, empathy and the importance of helping others — all while having fun and feeling proud of what they’ve achieved.

Ruislip Stars Nurseries Curriculum

At Ruislip Stars Nurseries  the rationale for our curriculum is child-led. Due to the nature of all our settings, and children moving across from the nursery to the preschool, intakes occur regularly throughout the year and there is no set start date for a new cohort. This means that the children arrive at the setting with different starting points.

Our experienced team assess identify areas for development using our quality assessment tool. The team use the children’s targets, along with the children’s interests to plan challenging and age-appropriate activities for the children to work towards their cultural capital. All parents are regularly updated on the planned learning for children across all three sites. The Key person reviews progress and liaises with parents to update on achieved outcomes

The curriculum is designed to meet specific learning goals for individual children as well identified groups of children.  The overarching principles of the seven areas of learning are embedded and focused in all aspects of learning and play.
